Offers

Congratulations!

You’re almost there!

You are now one step nearer to working with Lloyds Banking Group.

We are happy to confirm your conditional offer.

What does a conditional offer mean?

We’d love to hire you right now, we simply need to do a few background checks before we can. We’ll check things like you are who you say you are, your credit score, criminal record and your employment history.

Please do not hand in your notice to your current employer until you have received a confirmed start date and an unconditional offer from a member of the Lloyds Banking Group Recruitment Team

What are the next steps?

You’ll receive an email shortly directing you to your Workday portal to read and accept your conditional offer.

Please complete this within 24 hours so that we avoid any delays.

You’ll then go through a vetting process. As a financial institution, we come into contact with sensitive personal data every day.  Because of this, we need to make sure everyone is able to follow regulations and laws on how to manage this data. We will be checking the following:

  • Identification
  • Credit score
  • 5 years employment history
  • Criminal record checks

First advantage is our recruitment partner in vetting.

They’ll contact you via email asking you to complete a link with more information.

It’s really important that you complete this within 24 hours as we can’t start the checks until you do, and any delay could affect your start date.

We recommend you do this on a laptop and not a mobile phone as it can take some time.

The profiling form will ask you for your 5-year employment and home address history as well as some other key details.

If you have any issues with this link, please contact Lloyds Banking Group on 0345 3000 795,

First Advantage may also contact you for additional documentation to support your application, so please be ready to send any required documentation to them if requested.

Please note First Advantage will not be able to advise you of your start date, please contact the Lloyds Banking Group Recruitment Team on 0345 3000 795 for this information.

A useful guide for completing your top up form

  • You will receive an email from Workday to review your conditional agreement of employment containing details of your proposed salary, benefits and the terms and conditions of your employment.

    Actions

    • Please accept this offer on your portal as soon as possible to avoid any delays in submitting you into the vetting process.
    • If you wish to decline the offer you will need to confirm this in writing via email.
  • Once submitted into the vetting process, after accepting your offer, you will receive two emails.

    1. The first one confirming your checks are ready to commence from Workday.
    2. The second one to complete your top-up link providing your 5-year history from our vetting partner First Advantage. This email may fall into your junk/spam folder so please be vigilant.

    Actions

You cannot start the vetting process until the profile link is completed.

    • Please double check your address, career and education history, this need to be consistent with the documentation submitted and your Workday portal.
    • Your 5-year history needs to consistent with what previous employers/organisations will have on file, any deviance from these dates may cause delays in your vetting.
    • Include any middle names or maiden names.
    • The link will take 30-40 minutes to complete so please make sure you can complete this at the time of opening the link and see it through from start to finish.
    • You may be contacted by First advantage for further documentation, for example a bank statement as alternative proof of reference.

    Actions

    • Please respond to any requests from First Advantage in a timely manner as delays in your response can be a contributing factor to your start date.
    • The offer of employment may also be withdrawn if LBG or First Advantage receive either adverse information or required information is not returned in time.
  • Open a bank account with Lloyds Banking Group, this includes Bank of Scotland and Halifax.

    Actions

Please open an account with one of these banks, if you do not already hold one, for the payment of your salary.

Please do not hand in your notice to your current employer until you have received a confirmed start date and an unconditional offer from a member of the Lloyds Banking Group Recruitment Team.
